Tales of Teyvat, a Genshin Lore Podcast

Episode 10: Dragonspine

SEASON ONE

Every episode our team will work to provide you with visual and video aids to help you better understand comparisons and what we’re talking about.

Below are some resources surrounding Dragonspine that may be helpful to better understanding this week’s lore:

Dragonspine, a mountain in Genshin Impact, covered in snow and clouds with a ice spike hovering above it. There are some scattered orange and yellow trees at the base of the mountain. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Our first introduction to Dragonspine was when the area was released in version 1.2.

A Sky Frost Nail, from Genshin Impact, shown lodged into the snow covered ground on Dragonspine. There are ice spikes sticking out from the ground and the image feels cold. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Located at the summit of Dragonspine, the Skyfrost Nail was predicted by the Princess of the Sal Vindagnyr people. It’s assumed to be sent by Celestia and turned the once lush green mountain to icy cold that never melts.

One of two murals painted on the walls of a dark cave inside of Dragonspine, from Genshin Impact. In Gold paint, there is a person handing over what looks like a star, or an atom, to two other people who have their hands up. There is a small fire lit in the bottom of the photo. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

The Princess that predicted the Skyfrost Nail did so by painting murals. Two of those murals can be seen in the sealed Mural Room at the Entombed City – Ancient Palace.

Three fancily decorated golden boxes sit in the corner of the image. In the background there is a circular closed door, surrounded by snow, on Dragonspine from Genshin Impact. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

We mentioned the secret room and its architecture during the podcast. There is a side quest that unlocks the room after acquiring the Princess Box, the Priest Box, and the Scribe Box.

Have you opened this room?

The Frostbearing Tree from Genshin Impact. This tree is white, wit only three branches that go directly up toward the sky,. These branches are embellished with red tips that make the tree look like it is on fire. It is surrounded by snow. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

The Frostbearing Tree is connected to the heart of the mountain and was a favorite of the Princess. When the tree was ruined by the Skyfrost Nail, the Princess tried to grow a second tree. She later died next to that tree.
