SEASON FIVE
Our team provides travelers with visual and video aids every episode to help them better understand comparisons, learn more about topics, and follow what we’re discussing. While we strive to include links to official Genshin Impact resources, some may also be to third-party channels.
Below are some resources surrounding this episode about Forest Watcher Tighnari that may be helpful to understand the talking points and lore better:

Tighnari was our first guide through Sumeru, which is why we didn’t end up tripping balls like the guy in his character demo video. We learn from his character teaser that he has no interest in fame, but being the Forest Watcher comes with its own notoriety.

It may have taken Bee a bit to warm up to Tighnari’s outfit aesthetic, but Tif was in love at first sight – especially with the magnifying glass from his mother. With so much intention with his outfit, Feens wonders if the yellow flower he wears could be a memento from a certain someone.

The Sumeru foursome of Tighnari, Cyno, Alhaitham, and Kaveh seem fated to be together. Their fathers were all friends back in their Akademiya days. We even get a look at an old photo of the old chums.

No one’s mentor has a better look than Tighnari’s. Naphis, with his pin-straight hair and eccentric glasses, is an icon of Sumeru. He’d probably also be the winner of the tomato-growing contest if Cyrus & Zaha Hadi let him join in.

Do you agree with Bee and Feens that the best boots in all of Teyvat belong to Tighnari? Or do you lean more toward their second pick of Collei’s?

Haypasia is the researcher that got the Traveler all hopped up on some crazy herbal brew when we arrived. She’s also the one Tighnari kept in the greenhouse to get well after her acid trip lasted way too long.

During Tighnari’s story quest, we learn about a junior researcher he worked with a few years back. Abattouy may not have known that his work was successful when he passed, but Karkata is living proof that he was.

Get your tissues ready and rewatch the most heartbreaking scene between a mechanical crab and its owner you’ll ever see. Seriously, is someone cutting onions in here?

Feens, cover your ears – err, I mean eyes – Cyno tells us that he and Tighnari are like siblings during the Windblume event. Watch the scene for yourself and let us know if you think it was a translation error or an assassination attempt on Feens’ heart.

No one is as disgusted by Cyno’s incessant dad jokes as Tighnari. And by disgusted, we mean completely in love with the buffoon and would be sad if he didn’t get a joke explained to him every day of his life ever again.

While he might not have gotten a cutscene, Tighnari did appear in many events, stories, and hangouts. What non-Tighnari-based story have you liked him in the most? Windblume, the Interdarshan Championship, Nahida’s birthday, Simulanka, or one of the character stories like Cyno, Kaveh, Faruzan, and Emilie?

Here are some helpful links if you’re unfamiliar with the pop culture references we mentioned during the episode. The book series Feens talks about is the Big Bad Wolf Series by Charlie Adhara. The songs referenced are Bootylicious and the man song in Feens’ TikTok video below.
