Episode 107: Bennett

SEASON SIX

Our team provides travelers with visual and video aids every episode to help them better understand comparisons, learn more about topics, and follow what we’re discussing. While we strive to include links to official Genshin Impact resources, some may also be to third-party channels.

Below are some resources surrounding this episode about Bennett that may be helpful to understand the talking points and lore better:

Bennett shown with one arm up and the other pumping up at his side in an excited stance. There is a small imposed photo showing a small hole in the back of his vest/shirt that shows his back.

You know you have bad luck when your all-important constellation means “wheel of misfortune.” To top it all off, your C6 spot is widely considered a significant downgrade to your skills. Poor Bennett, can’t even catch a break on his game screen.

Bennett's C6 constellation shows six stars connected to form a simplified wheel.

Bennett’s outfit is said to be pieced together with old Adventurers’ uniforms. Sewn and tattered, you can tell they’ve been through a lot! One thing we’re not in agreement on is whether the tramp stamp window was standard or a Benny-specific addition.

Bennett's burst graphics, a red burning image of a thumbs up on the ground with Bennett standing in the middle of it.

There’s nothing you can say about Bennett’s luck that he hasn’t already said himself. For good or bad, he’s very aware of the cards he was dealt since being born on Leap Day. But even with all that misfortune, he’s got a great attitude. His burst is a literal thumbs-up. Nobody is bringing Benny down.

Closeup of Bennett's face and fang-like tooth in a 2D art style.

Is Bennett a Saurian ancestor? Feens tells us about a theory that the fang he sports could mean he has Natlan ties. What do you think? Saurian? Vampire? Or just an anime style?

Screens from Bennett's hangout after he and Royce eat ominous food. The image on the top shows Bennett passed out sitting in Aether's lap while Aether waves for help. The bottom image shows Royce passed out on the ground, a small ghost escaping his mouth, while Bennett and Aether run over to help.

During Bennett’s hangout, he makes an ominous dish. When he takes a bite, he passes out. But when Royce tastes it, he dies! Or at least that’s what Tif thinks. Bee & Feens say it’s just an animation choice based on the anime and manga they’ve seen. The jury is still out; tell us what you think!

Map of Mondsadt with an area outlined in white to showcase a specific location.

If you’ve ever done a Mondstadt daily, you know Ellin. But do you know her dad, Herman? Other than being the one that brought her the Hilichurl wooden stands to practice fighting with, he was once a renowned Adventurer. You can chat with him in the Mondstadt area shown in the image.

A GIF of Eula grabbing Amber out of harms way during an avalanche on Dragonspine

The avalanche during “Shadows Amidst Snowstorms” almost killed Bennett when he was thrown off a cliff. But did you notice? No. Cause, as Bee tells us, the best Eulamber moment also happened at the same time. Is it love if your lady doesn’t snatch you out of harm’s way?

Bennett fighting during the Susbedo event holding his sword with pyro burning at his feet and Amber, Lumine and Paimon behind him.

But that event wasn’t all bad for Bennett. Outside of getting locked in a cage and almost dying, he had an epic moment during the Albedo fight scene when his elemental burst got some enhancements.

Genshin Impact's Paimon and a movie kamera. In front of her on the table is a blank postcard and a brown Kamera her hands. Her eyes are closed and she is laughing. In front of her on the table is a blank postcard and a brown Kamera.

Here are some helpful links if you’re unfamiliar with the pop culture references we mentioned during the episode. Tif mentioned Boys in the Band when Bee described Bennett’s dads, and Feens thinks she’s being Punk’d. During our mail segment, Tif mentioned the disappearing photo from Back to the Future.

Letters from Afar

Questions and comments delivered weekly by Kirara and the Komaniya Express

Kirara from Genshin Impact standing next to a wooden mailbox and a squirrel. There are two letters imposed next to her and she stands on a stone patio with grass and a pink sky behind her.

Thank you to fellow travelers Ry and Ash for writing in. We truly appreciate your questions and comments! If you’d like to send us mail via the Komaniya Express, reach out on our Instagram, X/Twitter, or email. We’d love to hear from you! And Kirara could use the work.

Alternate outfits for Venti (top left), Gorou (top right), and Childe (bottom). Venti is in his archon fit showing his entire stomach and chest with white sleeves, gold details and white wings. Gorou is dressed as Miss Hina, a female writer alter ego in a long green dress. Childe is in his Foul Legacy fit, wearing a red mask.

We talked about alt outfits we’d love to see during our mail segment. The image shows Bee’s pick of Slutty Venti, Feens’ main pick of Delusion Childe, and Tif’s pick of Miss Hina. Feens also talked about the Resplendent Feast looks and mentioned a whole lot of other looks that are highlighted in the TikTok below.
