SEASON SEVEN
Our team provides travelers with visual and video aids every episode to help them better understand comparisons, learn more about topics, and follow what we’re discussing. While we strive to include links to official Genshin Impact resources, some may also be to third-party channels.
Below are some resources surrounding this episode about The Chi of Yore Quest that may be helpful to understand the talking points and lore better:

Our quest begins with Yan’er, the first female treasure hoarder we see in the game! Oh, you think she looks familiar? That makes sense, she’s the exact model as Bao’er – outfit and all.

We see Yan’er in another World Quest with her childhood friends Hiromi and Shun (Hiromi’s Watch). When the Sakoku Decree took effect, Yan’er and Shun went treasure hunting in Liyue while Hiromi – much to Yan’er and Shun’s disgust – became a Shogunate soldier.

When it comes to history and lore in areas around Bishui Plain and Qingce Village, everyone turns to Granny Ruoxin for answers. So of course we went to her for information on the fragments.

The quest takes place in the Bishui Plain area of Liyue. Each location we interact with is highlighted with large pieces of amber and small dragon statues.

The creator of the Serpent Spine claymore, Skipper, was a legendary sea captain who slayed many dragons. Legend has it that Serpent Spine was crafted with remnants of Chi.

We mentioned a few related episodes to check out if you haven’t listened. The ones with direct connections include Papa Baizhu & Baby Qiqi (S3 E52) and Guili Assembly (S2 E39).

We talk about the look of the Liyue dragon statues in comparison to those we see in Natlan. It makes us wonder if people across Teyvat saw the same dragons or different factions.

Along with the statues we interact with, we also find these columns of secret scrolls. Each gives us another part of the ending to the story, with Rex Lapis conquering the Chi.

In the end, our prize is a giant nipple ring! Or not. In the center of the cave, past the waterfall, is a round mechanism that spawns some baddies. Defeating the baddies and exploring the area gives us some treasure.

Here are some helpful links if you’re unfamiliar with the pop culture references we mentioned during the episode. Bee serenaded us with some Brandy & Monica – The Boy is Mine.
