SEASON THREE
Every episode our team will work to provide you with visual and video aids to help you better understand comparisons and what we’re talking about.
Below are some resources surrounding what we discussed about the Tales of Teyvat X The Shade Chamber Fontaine AQ Collab that may be helpful to better understand this week’s lore & shenanigans:

Meet the Churlmen of the Board from The Shade Chamber! Beefy, Wander, Break, and Jeur joined the Tales of Teyvat crew to discuss all things Fontaine!
Unfortunately, Rad was locked away in the Fortress of Meropide and couldn’t join us.
Make sure to check out The Shade Chamber!

We recently had our Fontaine So Far episode that has a lot of resources available, but wanted to include some important tidbits over here as well. Especially the videos!
Watch on YouTube: Version 4.0 “As Light Rain Falls Without Reason”
Watch on YouTube: Version 4.1 “To the Stars Shining in the Depths”

The most recent archon quest had some doozies. It had death, deceit, dreams, and a demon narwhal. What more could you ask for? A fairytale ending, we got that too. Sort of.
Watch on YouTube: Version 4.2 “Masquerade of the Guilty”

The Sumeru Archon quest led the traveler to believe we’re living the same day over, and over, and over again. Luckily, it was just Nilou’s dream we were stuck in. Sometimes, we wish it had just been Groundhog’s Day, our heads hurt thinking about dreamception!

In previous episodes, we’ve mentioned Beidou and Ningguang using chess as a euphemism for something… spicier. We think Clorinde and Navia have the same euphemism, but with tea!

We wouldn’t have expected this monstrosity of a dish to be such a sweet gift from our cute Sigewinne. We’ll have to forgive her for giving us quite the scare.

We visit the underground town of Poisson many times with Navia during the earlier Archon Quests. Unfortunately, Poisson is flooded by water tainted by the Primordial Sea. The damage done to Poisson is still seen after finishing the 4.2 Archon Quest.

There are few things stronger in this world than the buttons on Chlorinde’s shirt: Diamonds, Feeny’s love for Albedo, and Titanium, but these buttons top them all!

While we’re serving our fake sentence in the Fortress of Meropide, Freminet dives into unknown water trying to trace Childe’s steps. Freminet is unknowingly exposed to Primordial Sea water, but is saved by none other than Clorinde and her button!

Ayaka may have danced beautifully for us during our date with her in Inazuma, but did she really need to get her socks wet? She could’ve done her beautiful dance barefoot in the water, or on land!

Spina di Rosula may have their main headquarters in Poisson, but they also have control over a small location underneath the Court of Fontaine: Fleuve Cendre. The traveler is even invited by Navia to stay in a hotel located there when we need to freshen up.

Momoyo always seems to come up, especially when we’re talking about the House of Hearth. Could her understanding of the Knave have been a canonical error? Or was it lazy writing?

It seems that Hoyo still has yet to abandon their obsession with rat-tails! Arlecchino’s ponytail is reminiscent of Zhongli’s rat-tail, and we all would like to chop it off!

At the end of 4.1, Wriothesley foreshadows that the flood will occur when he shows us the massive ship he’s been secretly developing. We get to see this ship, and it’s ridiculous claws, in action at the end of 4.2.

Apep is the first of the Seven Sovereigns we encounter in game. It’s a shame Neuvillette didn’t get his good looks. 😬
He’s large and in-charge and looks like a centipede. Ick.

By accident, we refer to the Gnosis as Gnocchi. Now, if these all powerful trinkets were the all powerful potato dumplings, we don’t think Neuvillette would’ve given it away that easily.

The myth of Prometheus can be a great parallel to Forcalors’ and the late Egeria’s goal to bring justice to both the oceanids and to the people of Fontaine.

Furina’s change in appearance is part of her transition from her torment to her freedom. Her underlying colors switch and she no longer forces herself to smile for the “crowd.”

The true Hydro Archon, Focalors, had herself locked away in the Oratrice Mecanique d’Analyse Cardinale. Neuvilette was happy and sad to meet her, and watch her perish, all within five minutes.

Skirk may be a new character to some, but die hard Childe mains know she trained Childe after he fell into the Abyss. We now know she kept the All-Devouring Narwal as a pet and answers to her master, the Fowl.

We mention that Skirk is lurking in the sewer of Fontaine trying to call to Childe. A little too similar to a certain clown that killed Georgie and some other kids in Derry… we all float in Fontaine.

East of the Central Laboratory Ruins, you can run across a seagull tapping & laughing a dead (well, sleeping) hilichurl on the shore line.
Tif apologies to the churlmen for saying their friend was dead.
