Below are some resources surrounding what we discussed about the event ‘Shadows Amidst Snowstorms’ that may be helpful to better understand this week’s lore:

A screenshot of the event cover for Shadows Amidst Snowstorms in Genshin Impact. It shows Aether (left), Albedo (middle), and Paimon (right) standing ominously in front of a snow covered mountain known as dragonspine. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Get ready for the journey through this chilly – and chilling – event by watching the official trailer from HoYo.

An extrame close up of Albedo, from Genshin Impact, as he looks behind himself in shock to see another smug looking Albedo. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

We talk about just how awesome the cutscenes are in this event. So we’ve combined the best ones in a video on our YouTube channel. Why not follow us while you’re over there?

A giant waypoint, from Genshin Impact, is illuminated on a real life snow covered mountain. There are many lights around it. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Back around the time this event came out, there was also an IRL event in the Alps. There you could visit a life-size Waypoint and enjoy some other Genshin related festivities.

A GIF of Albedo from Genshin Impact. He starts by looking at the camera, and shyly looks down and to the right as he starts to smile. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Feens mentions how she thinks Albedo is really happy to be having dinner with his friends up on Dragonspine. The rest of us think she might be exaggerating the situation just a tad. What do you think? Is Feens’ soft-spot for chalk boy adding more to the story?

5 different paintings of Paimon on a yellow canvas. The first four paintings are on the left and done in a goofy, chibi, style making fun of Paimon being evil, silly, and emergency food. The one on the right is an elegant pencil sketch of Paimon. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

When we learn about how skilled an artist Albedo is and help him find the right starsilver for his drawings, Paimon has the big idea that we start drawing too. Thanks to YouTuber GRZ NGT, you can see all the possible Paimon paintings in his video.

A GIF of Eula and Amber from Genshin Impact. It shows Eula grab Amber's hand from behind, and twirl her into her arms, in a protective manner on a snow covered mountain. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Bee heralds Eula’s quick-thinking to save her girlfriend Amber from the avalanche as an iconic gay moment of the game. And we can’t agree more! If there was any doubt that they are a couple, this should clear it up. Or when they go for an ice bath on a frozen mountain could also solidify their romance.

A giant blue whopper flower, from Genshin Impact, with pink eyes and details on its leaves. It towers over Paimon, Aether, Bennet and Amber while it snows around them. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

The Fellflower is a Cryo Whopperflower made by Susbedo to try to snuff out the Traveler. Luckily our friends are ready to fight alongside us in this epic fight. Check out the cutscene video mentioned above to see the cinematic battle that leads to us meeting this pretty, but deadly, flower lovingly referred to as Whoppie in the Genshin community.

A yellow alchemy bottle with a small body in it. The body is upside down and curled into the fetal position. It resembles a baby version of Albedo from Genshin Impact. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

🎵 …It’s Albedo in a bottle, baby. Gotta rub it the right way… 🎵

We see this image of a baby Albedo in a chemistry bottle while he explains to the Traveler how his master Rhinedottir – aka Gold – created him.

Also, we promise to stop tone-deaf Tif from singing in future episodes.

A green book known as Vera's Melancholy in Genshin Impact. It has a gold border with a light green diamond and wings in the center. On top of it is a white text symbol in a different language. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

A popular parable about a gardener is told to us in the book Vera’s Melancholy. This story is repeated by Albedo when he tells us his “story” of the past few days. But we know this is less of a fairytale and more of the true events that brought upon the recent events.

Fischl, from Genshin Impact, stands with one leg propped up and giving a salute to her forehead with one hand.nThis image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

It’s mentioned during the episode that our lovely Prinzessin Fischl is also a playable character in Honkai Impact 3rd. Is this just the beginning of a crossover between the games? Tif hopes not.

Eula, from Genshin Impact, does a flamenco dance. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

FYI, it’s flamenco not flamingo dancing that Eula does in her character video. Although a bunch of flamingos dancing the flamenco might be something worth watching.

A circle logo of a face with purple angular bangs, lines for eyes, and small open and happy mouth. Underneath it says "@catwithbluehat". This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

There are some recordings of the full event that takes hours to watch. But thanks to YouTuber CatWithBlueHat, you can watch a condensed replay on their channel.

Billy Eichner, a tall white man wearing jeans, a blue t-shirt, and a half zipped black hoodie holds a microphone while lightly jogging with a woman and man. Above him, it says "Billy on the Street with Billy Eichner" in gold text on a black box. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

You might have noticed our hosts saying “let’s go lesbians!” a few times over the last 2 seasons and also that Billy is becoming our pod’s mascot. Here is the reference from the hilarious Billy Eichner.
