Tif mentions that the Ningguang & Beidou romance might be one of the most obvious ones in the game, especially given their interaction during the 2022 Lantern Rite cutscene.

It’s noted that the Ningguang & Beidou relationship is suppose to put the two at odds. But even their arguments tend to have an underlying romance to them.

We talk about how some playable characters are more powerful in events and cutscenes than they are during gameplay. One such case is when Ningguang creates a platform off the side of the Jade Chamber to fight Osial.

She shows her extra power again when we fight Osial’s wife Beisht after the rebuilding of the Jade Chamber in Shenhe’s story. Ningguang creates a large screen that shoots darts out at the sea monster.

The Qixing is made up of seven influential merchants & business leaders of Liyue Harbor, but we’ve only met three – Uncle Tian, Ningguang, and Keqing. These three are in charge of policymaking, laws, and urban management respectively. While not one of the seven, Ganyu acts as the General Secretary.

Each member represents one of the seven stars in Ursa Major (the Big Dipper constellation). Which is fitting since Qixing translates to “seven stars” and they are known as the Seven Stars of Liyue.

Al drew some IRL comparisons for Ningguang thru Theodora, the Empress of the Byzantine Empire. Theodora grew up poor and worked her way to the top in a time when women weren’t always shown in high ranking positions. Ya gotta love strong women in leadership!

During Ningguang’s hangout, we meet Baixiao, Baishi, and Baiwen (left to right). These three ladies are Ningguang’s closest confidants and secretaries. They help manage her day. As Bee noted, Baishi seems to have a bit of a crush on her boss.

Is chess just a euphemism for sexy time with Ningguang and Beidou? If so, that would explain why there would be some jealousy when Yelan is mentioned to join. Or are they just competitive chess players? We’ll leave that to you to decide.

Ningguang has a love/hate relationship with Yanfei, Liyue’s preeminent legal consultant. On one hand, Yanfei identifies all the loopholes in the laws and Ningguang has to go fix them up. But in a positive light, at least she knows her policies get even better once Yanfei has read them.

Tif mentions the Liyue perfume lady Ying’er when talking about Ningguang & Traveler’s walk thru the city. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen her, and its definitely not the first time she’s flirted with us. Do you think Ying’er is smelling too much of her love potions or is she just a flirt?
