Tales of Teyvat, a Genshin Lore Podcast

Special Episode: The Debate Club

SEASON THREE

Every episode our team will work to provide you with visual and video aids to help you better understand comparisons and what we’re talking about.

A blue background that says Thank You on the left, has two debate clubs crossed in the middle (claymore weapons from Genshin Impact) a has a list of usernames on the right. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Thank you to everyone that sent in a topic! Below are some resources surrounding those topics in our first Debate Club:

A grey debate club, from Genshin Impact, next to an upgraded black debate club with a red handle and gold decorations. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

The best weapon in game! Okay, maybe not, but it is our episode’s namesake.

Did you know that as you increase the level of your Debate Club that it changes colors? Tif forgot and after being reminded by Feens, she has to agree… it does look cooler once its over level 20.

A close up of Wriothesley's ass, looking juicy. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Jessie asked us to complete the team with the best ass, and the winner was Wriotheslass. Er, I mean Wriothesley.

While his addition may have been unanimous, the first 3 of the team are still a hot-button topic. (Even though they all know it’s Rosaria, even Jessie said it ~ tif)

The Unknown God, also known as the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles in Genshin Impact, looks off camera to the left. She seems angry as her hair floats up behind her. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Mehrղaz asked if we were team Archon or team elemental dragons. After some debate, we seemed to ignore the actual question and go with team Sustainer of Heavenly Principles.

Dilic (left) and Kaeya (right), from Genshin Impact, both look at the camera. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Siilverwitch asked how we thought Kaeya felt after getting his brother’s previous job.

Our resident Mondstadt-lover Feens feels there was a lot of emotion and wanting to be a part of the legacy.

Tif just thinks he’s mad there’s no horses.

On the left there are headshots of characters stacked next to one full body photo of Qiqi on the right. Characters on the left, from the top down, Jean, Diluc, Tighnari, and Mona.

Holographicmeatball asked what the best and worst 5-star characters are from the standard banner. We came to the conclusion that poor lil Qiqi is the worst (she’s a 50/50 killer). We couldn’t agree on the best.

Best Dendro got heated and Bee is going to do some research to see if Collei or Tighnari is the best. Be sure to check our socials for his decision.

A close up of Lumine's face. She looks sad and angry all at once. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Prince_rbph asked, Aether or Lumine? And while its easy to choose the character you play as, Tif and Feens give some girl-power facts to why its Lumine.

Paimon, from Genshin Imapct, waves at the camera happily. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Our friends over at The Shade Chamber asked if we think Paimon is innocent, a mastermind or an unwitting pawn of Celestia. Paimon as a spy, or at least something more than what she appears, ended up winning this debate.

Jean, from Genshin Impact, looks at the camear with her hand on her sword attached to her hip. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Chi asked us who deserves more screen time the most? And made the stipulation that Feens could not pick Albedo. Which was PERFECTION.

While it wasn’t unanimous – I mean really, was Feens not gonna find a way to say Albedo somehow – Jean was the victor thanks to a good fight from Al.

Aloy (top left), Yae Miko (top right), Lynney & Yelan (bottom left) and Nilou (bottom right), all from Genshin Impact. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Azelis asked who’s a 5-star that should’ve been a 4-star.

We each had our own take on this and couldn’t come to a conclusion. But we might all agree that lil Nahida-disguising Izak probably should have been a 5-star before Nilou.

Four characters profile photos are stacked on top of one another on the left. On the right is a larger photo of Ningguang. The characters on the left, from top to bottom: Barbara, Beidou, Fischl, and Collei. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Azelis also asked which 4-star should’ve been a 5-star. And we’ve all said it before, its Ningguang. But since that may be swayed by rumors that she was once a 5-star, we each chose a different character.

An Aranara, a special creature from Genshin Impact. It is a small green creature with leaves draped on his head like hair. A green stem sprouts from its head and a yellow flower blossoms. It smiles at the camera. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Prince_rbph also asked who is better – the Aranaras or the Melusines. While this answer might change as we continue to do more quests in Fontaine with the Melusines, for now the Aranaras are the clear winners.

A manor/castle in Snezhnaya. It has Russian architecture and is lightly covered in snow. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Taneracatering asked if we thought the Tsaritsa or the Archons are working to take down Celestia. We all agreed the chilly Tsaritsa’s end game is to get rid of Celestia. Hopefully we’ll learn why that is soon.

Bennet, from Genshin Impact, can be seen from the waist up with one hand on his hip and the other giving the viewer a thumbs up as he smiles. Behind him, there is a screenshot of his constellation page showing that he is C6'd. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Olive_miu asked if Bennet is good at C6. There are a lot of Travelers that think his C6 really messes up his game play, but most of us agreed that Benny is still great regardless.

A collage of all of the Fatui Harbingers in Genshin Impact. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

The Shade Chamber also asked who’s in the right: Celestia, The Abyss or the Fatui, and are there other factions we should be aware of (the archons shunning Celestia, the Primordials, Dainsleif’s agenda, the Traveler’s own agenda).

The Fatui won this debate. Are the original baddies turning into the good-guys?

There are so many talented & creative people in the Genshin community, and we’d like to spread some love to a wonderful artist – Beechu (@Beechu_Beechu). This darling piece is a great reminder that all our characters have loved ones on their mind and in some cases make decisions simply to benefit them. Since this episode is released during Thanksgiving in the US, we thought it was a great reminder to hold those loved ones close and be thankful they are in your life. Thank you Beechu for this sweet reminder.
