SEASON SEVEN
Our team provides travelers with visual and video aids every episode to help them better understand comparisons, learn more about topics, and follow what we’re discussing. While we strive to include links to official Genshin Impact resources, some may also be to third-party channels.
Below are some resources surrounding this episode about Nod-Krai, the Battle with Rerir that may be helpful to understand the talking points and lore better:

The third chapter of the Nod-Krai Archon Quest starts off with a bang! Wasting no time, we’re thrown into the middle of a battle between Rerir and Columbina. Luckily, Columbina is able to teleport us all away in the nick of time.

And who do we run into next? The Grand Master himself, Varka. And what’s he got with him? Wolf’s Gravestone – Diluc’s signature weapon. Do you think there’s more to it or just a hunky guy from Mondstadt needing a badass weapon?

After all this time, we finally get some intel on the spy network we’ve been talking about nonstop! The Northern Intelligence Network, AKA the place with not enough chairs, is headquartered in Nod-Krai. Part-time in a cave, but probably mostly at Nefer’s Curatorium of Secrets.

Bee and Feens talk about a Varka meme from Instagram that’s showing off some of his good assets. More like ASS-ets.

Ladies do love chess in Teyvat. It’s no surprise that Nefer’s secret trickery to view Rerir’s memories is contingent on a chess set box. It’s a pretty box, no wonder Dori tries to grab it later on in the story.

Did you stop to see Rerir in the mirror? It’s one of those nice subtitles that the game adds in that just pulls you further into the story.

As a Khaenri’ahn with Crimson Moon Dynasty blood, Tholindis sure doesn’t look the way you’d expect. Perhaps it’s the trendy look of the researchers at the Universitas Magistrorum. She is the only one we’ve met so far.

Feens walks through the similarities of young Rerir’s outfit and Childe’s look. You can definitely see where they relate to one another, but if it’s more than a coincidence it is yet to be seen.

All the moon talk can get a little confusing, especially when you add in the Crimson Moon. That moon is actually the Iridescent Moon with Abyssal corruption. It is the source of Arlecchino’s power and it was cool to get a look at it during the story.

In order to get a look at the moon, we first needed to get access from Arlecchino. A glass staircase over burning fires isn’t our first choice of entrances.

Enter Ashru. Okay, maybe Tif’s favorite Nod-Krai NPC isn’t the focus of this epic cutscene where Rerir strangles Nefer. But, we all know who writes this page. Therefore, KITTY!

We start the episode talking about the big cinematic cutscenes that we seem to be getting more and more of. And we can never stop gushing over the incredible fight scene. This big ending fight with Rerir lived up to its predecessors.

THAT LOOK SAYS IT ALL. What a satisfying way to wrap up the battle than the look on Rerir’s face when he realizes it’s Dainsleif kicking him to the curb.

We mention a few of our past episodes throughout this one for additional information. You can find them here on our site – The Narzissenkreuz Saga (S4 E65), Fontaine Research Institute of Kinetic Energy (S6 E117), and Dainsleif & The Loom of Fate (S6 E120). Here are some helpful links if you’re unfamiliar with the pop culture references we mentioned during the episode. Tif mentions Running Up That Hill from Stranger Things, Feens talks about Haunted Hotel, and Tif references the Bye Felicia meme from the movie Friday.
