SEASON FIVE
Every episode our team provides travelers with visual and video aids to help better understand comparisons, learn more about topics, and follow what we’re discussing. While we strive to include links to official Genshin Impact resources, some may also be to third-party channels.
Below are some resources surrounding this episode about Shikanoin Heizou that may be helpful to understand the talking points and lore better:

Doushin Shikanoin Heizou is the most successful detective of the Tenryou Commission in Inazuma. Guided by his assistant—his own intuition—his goal is to stop crime before it happens. We get our first look into the attributes that set him apart in his character demo video and even further in his collected miscellany video.

Feens mentions Heizou’s short mullet, but Tif doesn’t see it at first. What do you think? Is he business in the front, party in the back?

What in the world is going on in this birthday art?! HoYo would probably say that Heizou is relaxing in a tree while reading a book. But the fandom went crazy over the look on his face and the placement of his hands. One thing is for certain, the innuendos are plentiful!

Before Detective Paimon, Detective Heizou was on the case! Too bad he doesn’t have her snazzy glasses and mustache. Maybe he can add them to his light novel, that is if he ever gets Yae Miko to publish his work.

Before joining the Tenryou Commission, Heizou was a partner at the Bantan Sango Detective Agency, formerly the Bantan Sango & Heizou Detective Agency. After a falling out with Sango, they parted ways. Sango definitely lets it be known that she is not a fan of his. At least with her words. Her actions kind of tell a different story.

Heizou has a soft spot for Sango’s assistant Ryuuji. He even goes as far as holding back some important information to not cause Ryuuji any more pain. Which is deserving since Ryuuji seems to be an all-around good guy. He even saved Takeru, a boy from Kondo Village, when he got stuck on a cliff.

The only family Heizou seems to still be in touch with is his cousin Kano Nano, a shrine maiden at the Grand Narukami Shrine. She’s a protective cousin, going as far as storming down to the police station when Heizou is passed over for a promotion.

We mention a few of our previous episodes, specifically the Yokai Event and Itto episodes. You can find all of our previous episodes on our archive page, over on our YouTube channel, and on your favorite podcast platform.

Bee may not be into astrology like his BFF Mona, but he did run a Myers & Briggs personality test on Heizou (the best he could). He found that of the 16 personality types, Heizou is an ENTP (Debater).
We also discussed our own types: Feens is INFJ (Advocate), Bee is INTP (Logician), and Tif is INFP (Mediator).
If you’re interested in taking the test, head over to 16personalities.com.

Here are some helpful links if you’re unfamiliar with the pop culture references we mentioned during the episode. We have two Ross from Friends references: Feens mentions the pivot scene, while Bee quotes his infamous line, “We were on a break!” Feens also references the song Daddy Issues by The Neighbourhood.
