Below are some resources surrounding Vennessa that may be helpful to better understanding this week’s lore:
Genshin Impact has a manga series out that is a prequel to the start of the game. The manga happens 6-12 months before the start of the game but also as a prologue that covers when Vennessa over threw the Lawerence Clan with the help of Venti.
Cat with the Blue Hat on Youtube has an excellent, and short, video that reviews information about the Primordial One. We reference the Primordial one a few times this episode, and this video is a great recap if needed.
Venti’s character teaser trailer has a small section about him and Vennessa’s relationship shortly after she takes over Mondstadt. This small interaction, and the rest of the trailer, suggest there may have been a disagreement or a change of temper in their friendship.
In Venti’s story quest, we learn more about Venti and how he became the Anemo archon. This covers his time as a whisp in Old Mondstadt, before he took on his human form. We learn more at the end of the story quest about possible Murata and Ragnvindr.
