Tales of Teyvat, a Genshin Lore Podcast

Episode 26: The Aranara Odyssey

SEASON TWO

Every episode our team will work to provide you with visual and video aids to help you better understand comparisons and what we’re talking about.

Below are some resources surrounding what we discussed about The Aranara Odyssey that may be helpful to better understand this week’s lore:

A light green simple creature wearing a dark green hat with orange leaves, named arana & a similar creature with green ear like leaves and a yellow crown like leaf, named arama, stand next to one another. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Arana (left) and Arama (right) are the two that head our Aranara Odyssey. Arana stays back with Rana while we head off to cure her. Arana has a special tie to Rana since they were the Aranara that visited her as a child.

An orange aranara, shaped like a blob with arms, from genshin Impact. It wears a bowtie and an orange triangular hat. Behind it is a brown Aranara with a mustache.

One of the cutest and most wholesome things to happen in the game is when the Aranara are singing at the Utsava Festival. It makes you forget that you’ve spent 9,000 years trying to get all these little munchkins together for a 2 minute song.

The left shows an ancient looking, and huge, green and brown radish. On the right is the same structure, but shown purple and pink. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Once you’ve finished the quest, you’re able to change between the real world and the dream realm. Other than the lack of Aranara, another easy way to tell you’re back to the regular world is the look of the Tree of Dreams (aka the Dream Radish). It goes from regular vegetation to electro-disco ball with the flip.

Aramani the Aranara, a small green creature with a swirl on its stomach. It wears a yellow flower as a hat. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Tif was convinced there was an Aranara named Armani. After realizing the copyright issues alone would make that impossible, she went back to find their name is really Aramani. Close enough.

Note the mini-map for the location of Aramani, who sells you mushrooms and the like.

A gif showing a giant sumpter beast attack Albedo. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Why does Sumeru have it out for Feens?

This Sumpter Beast not only knocks down Albedo but then yeets itself off the cliff for another shot at breaking the chalk boy.

A screenshot from AraColdeye's video about the Aranara. It shows three dancers all in the same outfit: white pants, read shirt and belt. The two smaller figures have an Aranara and Ranna's heads imposed on the, but we can't see the third one's head.

Al was laughing a lot at a video from YouTuber AraColdEye that showed what its like to be in the midst of the odyssey. They just keep showing up.
