The Fatui Harbingers, from Genshin Impact, gather around a closed coffin that is white with a gold star in the middle. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

We’ve talked about it a lot, but if you haven’t watched ‘A Winter Night’s Lazzo,’ you really need to! It’s chock full of awesome lore nuggets.

An old, colored sketch of a larger man wearing a black outfit with a puffy white neck scarf. He wears a black hat and has red around his eyes with a mustache. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Genshin’s Dottore is named after Il Dottore of the Italian commedia dell’arte – popular theatrical performances in Europe between the 16th and 18th centuries. Il Dottore is typically paired with Pantalone, another one of our harbingers.

Dottore, from the Genshin Impact webtoon, smiles through a black and white mask, showcasing only half of his smile. He has glaring red eyes. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Dottore first joined the Genshin universe in the manga. Seemingly another segment, he’s still just as evil.

During the Mikage Furnace quest, we talk to Xavier from Fontaine. And for some reason, Tif has a problem with his dumb hat. Is it ill-fitting or is Tif just picking on poor Xavier?

Karakata, from Genshin Impact, is a mechanical crab creature with a red glowing light in the middle that acts like an eye. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

We talk about the emotional story of Karkata that is told during Tighnari’s story quest. We all fell in love with this robot and are so glad they got to stay with us at Pardis Dhyai. If you visit during the day, you’ll find them in the greenhouse. At night you’ll see them outside on the side of the building.

Artist Spotlight

Fan art by Dottore by deathafternoon. Dottore stands in the dark, wearing a blood stained white apron that he wipes his hands with. He holds a large knife, covered in blood, in his teeth as he looks at the camera.

There are so many talented & creative people in the Genshin community, and we’d like to spread some love to a wonderful artist – Vira (@deathafternoon). They have completely captured the creepy essence of Dottore. We love the dark look of all of their work and really feel it brings a bit of a macabre to the characters.

See more work from Vira on Twitter, Instagram, and INPRNT.
