SEASON THREE

Every episode our team will work to provide you with visual and video aids to help you better understand comparisons and what we’re talking about.

Below are some resources surrounding what we discussed about The Ley Line Disorder that may be helpful to better understand this week’s lore:

On top is a Blossom of wealth, a Ley Line from Genshin Impact. It is a yellow sphere made of smoke that sits in a grass field. On the bottom is a Blossom of Revelation, a different blue Ley Line from Genshin Impact. It is also a ball of smoke, but it is blue in color.

There are two types of ley lines. The gold sphere is the Blossom of Wealth that drops Mora. The blue sphere is the Blossom of Revelation, which drops level up materials.

These spheres are referred to as Ley Line Outcrops.

A Ley Line Outcrop from Genshin Impact. It is a plant bud that hasnt bloomed that i is huge. It is attached to a thick brown stem that looks like wood and the bud has a tear drop shape to it. There are three green leaves at its base and we see it from the side, the bud pointing left.

After quelling the Ley Line Outcrop, the Ley Line Blossom appears – the Little Shop of Horrors looking plant.

Lisa, a character from Genshin Impact, from the chest up looking at the camera smiling. Imposed on top of her is a 2D image of a white cat with one orange ear and eye and one grey ear and eye. It's eyes are closed and it plays with a pink ball of yarn in it's mouth.

Lisa is the first to mention ley lines to us and says, “Mondstadt’s elemental sphere and ley lines are now akin to a yarn ball in the paws of a kitten.” All of the disturbances are driving her crazy and causing her powers to glitch.

Lisa, a character from Genshin Impact, in her special Sumeru outfit. She holds a purple rose in her hand and looks at it alluringly.

Lisa talks about the ley lines once again in her story quest in Sumeru. We learn that Spantamad researchers are doing studies on the outcrops and have been monitoring them.

We mention Karkata in the episode. As a reminder, he is a machine we find during Tighnari’s story quest that Tighnari, in turn, “adopts” after finding his colleague (Karkata’s master) dead inside of a secret lab hidden in a cave.

A red Ley Line, from Genshin Impact. It looks like a red ball of smoke sitting on a beach with smoke coming off of it like tentacles. Kazuha, a character from Genshin Impact, stands in front of it, back to the camera, looking at the Ley Line.

In the Hidden Strife event we see a unique type of ley line – a red one.

During this event, we have the opportunity to read some of Diluc’s personal letters. Check out the various letters on YouTube.

A portable waypoint from Genshin Impact. It is a faded blue object that resembles a floating chess piece. It has an upside down triangle base that leads up a thin stem to a crown like top piece. It has a blue aurora around it and sits on a rock in front of purple trees.

Al mentions how the Portable Waypoint description also speaks about the ley lines – “A pocket-sized item that creates a temporary Teleport Waypoint. It is capable of connecting with the ley lines, at least to the extent necessary to bring about teleportation.”

The Imaginary Tree from Honkai Impact the Third. There is a broken, or cracked, sphere surrounded by brown rings and cubes. Behind them there are purple cubes making a grid.

Bee talks about how Irminsul feels similar to the Imaginary Tree in Honkai Impact 3rd and theorizes that Irminsul and the ley lines might be part of that tree. The Imaginary Tree is a light force in HI3 that’s opposed to abyss energy (Sea of Quanta).

A rift hound from Genshin Impact, a floating wolf like creature with glowing gold eyes, a purple body, and gold accents. It is menacing.

Raiden Shogun’s second story quest reveals that the rifthounds are eating away at the roots of the ley lines and in turn spilling out memories into the world.

Alfisol, a golden soil. It is yellow with a busy texture that could resembled soil or a popcorn ceiling

Feens tells us that Gold referred to the rifthounds as alfisol – moderately leached soils that have relatively high native fertility.

The descriptions of the items dropped by the rifthounds also talk of alfisol and how they are not of this world. Could they be from Earth?

These items include the Concealed Claw, Concealed Unguis, and Concealed Talon.

The Cryo Hypostatis, a light blue cube made up of eight smaller cubes. Each cube has a snowflake design on it and it sits on a bed of ice. This is a world boss from Genshin Impact.

As Bee mentions in the episode, all of the hypostases and regisvines are connected to the ley line and their existence is due to the disturbance running through their roots. The branches then culminate into a mass of elemental energy at the end.
