SEASON FOUR
Every episode our team provides travelers with visual and video aids to help better understand comparisons, learn more about topics, and follow what we’re discussing. While we strive to include links to official Genshin Impact resources, some may also be to third-party channels.
Below are some resources surrounding this episode about the Deepwood Memories artifact set that may be helpful in understanding the talking points and lore better:

The Deepwood Memories artifact set can be found at the Spire of Solitary Enlightenment domain, just outside the Chasm in Sumeru. Bring a friend or co-op partner when you visit the domain and jump on the mushrooms in front of the entrance together for an easy little achievement.

The Labyrinth Wayfarer is the flower artifact of the set. It tells us about the “True Tiger” and Lord of the Forest – Viaghara. Along with the story of how they were born to the labyrinth, it also talks about their stripes, which were constantly changing and looked as if they were blazing in the sunlight. It also gives us our first look into the infamous Cinnamon.

The plume of the set is the Scholar of Vines. It continues to tell us about Cinnamon, how she can “read the poetry of moonlight” and understand the language of all beasts, and that she was a royal servant of Viaghara.

A Time of Insight is the sands artifact and focuses on a different perspective than the others. Here, we learn of friends who were interested in how they could live forever and capture dreams. This piece is where we can deduce some history of Dottore and just how far back his obsession with Irminsul began.

The goblet piece is called Lamp of the Lost and brings in the lore of the Lord of Folly, aka King Deshret. It also ties back to the story of Xiphos and Makhaira of Tulaytullah after Deshret’s death.

Lastly is the circlet, the Laurel Coronet – the crown that no one seemed to want to keep. It was created by Greater Lord Rukkhadevata for Viaghara, who later gave it to Cinnamon, who we’re sure also got rid of it like it was full of cooties.

The Varuna Contraption, located in the Apam Woods, is a device made by Greater Lord Rukkhadevata to control the Varunastra – a giant pillar of water that constantly nurtures the forest that was once a desert. It was in this water’s reflection that the labyrinth was created along with Viaghara.

Feens compares Viaghara’s appearance to that of the Consecrated Fanged Beast, found in Pari Land area in the desert. This baddie only shows up once you complete the Khvarena of Good and Evil quest.

Cinnamon’s image is shown on two TCG cards – the Deepwood Memories artifact set and the Laurel Coronet. We discuss the differences between the two cards and pretty much assume they are only different because one represents the full set, and the other is just for the circlet.

We talk about the different descriptions of Cinnamon and what her title may have been. Sudabeh, the little girl we chat with after the Aranara Odessey, refers to her as a princess and says that she wants to be like her – strong, smart, and pretty – and take Rana as her bride. While she might be a little young for Rana, we like her ambitions.

Here are some helpful links if you’re unfamiliar with the music or movies we mentioned during the episode. Feens summoned Madonna’s Like a Virgin for her ‘Like a Burgeon’ rendition. Bee brought up Lady Gaga’s HBO concert and the Spice Girls, and we talked about the upcoming sequel to Beetlejuice.

Letters from Afar
Questions and comments delivered weekly by Kirara and the Komaniya Express

Serena asked who we think talks the most, other than motormouth herself – Paimon. Al said the verbose Zhongli, Bee said chatterbox Hua Tao, Feens said the 35-titled Itto, and Tif said the double-speed reporter Charlotte.

Icarus asked what we think would happen to the people of Teyvat if the connected Ley Lines malfunctioned. Bee referenced the Imaginary Tree in Honkai (and Tif’s brain malfunctioned), Tif expects we’d all be zombified, while Al thinks everything will restart, and Feens expects everyone to be leaking memories all over the place.
