Below are some resources surrounding this episode about the Unfinished Reverie Artifact Set that may be helpful to understand the talking points and lore better:

Inside of the Faded Theater domain in Genshin Impact. It shows an altar with a large building on an island that you can get to on stairs. There are brown and jagged mountains and railings surrounding it. It is shown in blue and green hues.

The Unfinished Reverie artifact set is found in the Faded Theater domain in Petrichor, Fontaine. Which would make you think this set is going to give you some lore on Petrichor or Remuria, but nope. It’s instead about Natlan and the insane king Och-Kan.

A black book with lime green detailings. In the lime green on the spine we have dripping and an eye that also drips the green goo. On the cover, in a creepy font, is the Teyvat language in green while melting. There are mountains, a castle, a green moon and the shadow of a creepy figurine.

The Faded Theater has some lore of its own. The book collection ‘The Fall of the Faded Castle’ tells a spooky story about death appearing on the theater’s stage and taking everyone’s life as a blood-red fog spreads throughout the castle. And what’s something you always find with theater? Merch.

The artifacts that make up the Unfinished Reverie set. They all seem to be made of stone. The top left is a flower shape with three teal flowers coming off of it. Top right is a pot with three triangular legs. It has teal and white feathers, Brown designs and a green jewel with gold adornments. Middle is a crown that has a large triangle in the center that is teal with a gold emblem and green jewel on top of it. The crown has teal feathers on both sides of the middle triangle and little gold coins that hang off the bottom of it. Bottom left is an item that looks like a mechanical mechanism that has a gold center and green jewel. Bottom left is a feather with a mechanical pieces at the bottom holding the white and green feathers together.

The merch you get – err, the artifacts – tells the story of the heroes who defeated the insane king Och-Kan. Sakkuk, the twins Attawallpa and Waskar, Yupanqui, and Manqu, aka the Masterful Craftsman with the oozy face.

Ochkanatlan as shown from a far. It is a dark and cloudy island made up of tall pointy mountains and many smaller islands that are jagged and seem to create pathways to the tallest peak that has a circular ornament in it.

The story takes place in Ochkanatlan, a mysterious area with the ruins of an even more ancient civilization. It is also known as the Cinder City and was the epicenter of the Eternal Empire. Now, if we could only figure out where it got its name from… hmm.

A red/orange circular symbol that resembles an emblem. It has gold etchings on it that show the head of a bird and two scribles. It is circular overall with four small triangles jutting off of it.

The ragtag group of heroes was led by the Scarlet-Eyed Hero, who was also the second Archon of Natlan. We know little about the former Archon, except they are unnamed and from the Flower-Feather Clan. And that’s exactly how they wanted it to be.

A bow for shooting arrows that has a brown base and red string. The top of the bow has detailing in white, yellow and red that look like a bird. The bottom half of the bow has pink and white feathers.

From the Astral Vulture’s Crimson Plumage bow, we learn that at the time of their death, the Scarlet-Eyed Hero asks Sakkuk to remove their name from history in hopes of inspiring others to take on their mission.

Genshin Impact's Paimon and a movie kamera. In front of her on the table is a blank postcard and a brown Kamera her hands. Her eyes are closed and she is laughing. In front of her on the table is a blank postcard and a brown Kamera.
