SEASON SIX
Our team provides travelers with visual and video aids every episode to help them better understand comparisons, learn more about topics, and follow what we’re discussing. While we strive to include links to official Genshin Impact resources, some may also be to third-party channels.
Below are some resources surrounding this episode about The False Archon, Furina that may be helpful to understand the talking points and lore better:

Our first encounter with Furina happened in the Romaritime Harbor after Lyney taught us about Hot Pockets, err, Magic Pockets. Her outlandish entrance was just the first of many theatrical interactions we have with her going forward.

Furina has two variations of her Coronated Prima Donna outfit, each representing the opposing energies in Fontaine’s Arkhe. Her Pneuma look has all white colors that change into a dark-blue color when she switches to Ousia.

Melty’s love for Furina is just as strong as his hatred for Focalors. As we learn at the end of the Fontaine Archon Quest, Focalors cursed Furina with a solitary existence while she worked on her plan to eliminate the Hydro Archon throne. And that made her public enemy #1 for many fans.

In Furina’s solitary life, she ends up with a lot of free time. She decided that she’d use that time to befriend the marine life in Fontaine, but as Bee points out, they just weren’t having it. Except for the docile Blubberbeasts that now get all the belly rubs possible from Furina.

Focalors’ life was also pretty solitary since she was shacked up inside the Oratrice Mecanique d’Analyse Cardinale collecting Indemnitium for a few centuries. Which makes it even curiouser that she’d risk becoming found out by being chatty and letting Lyney hear her in the basement of the Opera Epiclese.

Furina is finally set free from being the false Archon of Fontaine during a beautiful cutscene called the Sinner’s Finale (also the title of the song played). This is where we see Focalors return the Archon power back to the Hydro Dragon, Neuvillette, and Furina become human.

There aren’t many times we see a character get their Vision in a story (side note, don’t diss Rana around Feens), but Furina is one of these times. At the end of the play “The Little Oceanid,” a prop vision is supposed to appear on stage, but instead, it’s Furina’s Hydro Vision. Brava mademoiselle, brava!

We see Furina return to the theater once more during the “Roses and Muskets” event, aka – the Guns & Roses event. It’s nice to see Furina back at her passion, although this time behind the scenes as a director. We also see Xavier’s big, dumb hat. Yes, Tif has a beef with that hat – we don’t get it either.

The second character to have her familiars derived from a book (Fischl being the first), Furina’s Salon Solitaire are based on a book she read about a maid who uncovered many secrets in the mansion she worked for. The three hydro mimics are Gentilhomme Usher (octopus), Surintendante Chevalmarin (seahorse), and Mademoiselle Crabaletta (crab).

Tif chats about Furina’s official videos, from her vaudeville-style character demo to her darker character teaser and collected miscellany. She may have taken some liberties with her interpretation of La Vaguelette, but tragedy follows Furina everywhere, why not in love as well?

Here are some helpful links if you’re unfamiliar with the pop culture references we mentioned during the episode. We call Lyney’s Magic Pockets a Hot Pocket. Feens references Miraculous‘ Chloe. Melty quotes Hamilton. He also mentions Five Nights at Freddys.

During our mail segment, we chat about a few topics that we thought you’d like to explore further. First is little Tribbie from Hokai. Melty talks about the original trailer showing all nations. And, once again, Feens mentions Khoi’s rendition of “Let it Go” (which she, in fact, will not).
