Episode 134: Liben’s Marvelous Merchandise

SEASON SEVEN

Our team provides travelers with visual and video aids every episode to help them better understand comparisons, learn more about topics, and follow what we’re discussing. While we strive to include links to official Genshin Impact resources, some may also be to third-party channels.

Below are some resources surrounding this episode about Liben’s Marvelous Merchandise that may be helpful to understand the talking points and lore better:

A fabulous NPC needs a fabulous TCG card, don’t you think? Liben’s does not disappoint! Feens also says it’s a helpful card when playing the game as well.

If you are a newer player and have not been graced with a visit from Liben, he always sets up shop in Mondstadt. Right near the floral shop where Donna professes her love for Diluc nonstop.

Hard to believe a dog owns a teahouse? What about a dog being part of the super secretive Shuumatsuban? It’s true! Taroumaru isn’t just Thoma’s BFF, he’s also the hardest working Shiba Inu in Inazuma.

While in Inazuma, Liben buys up some Miss Hina merch. What if his motives weren’t just for business, but for pleasure? Bee sure thinks so with his darling ship of Miss Hina and Liben.

If you take a look at the Unusual Hilichurl in your archive, you’ll notice a yellow rabbit at his feet. That’s Homu, the Honkai crossover bunny.

The Voynich Guild is a powerful commerce guild and the unofficial governing body of Nasha Town in Nod-Krai. And it’s headed by this pipsqueak, Tarno.

Hoyo loves a good April Fools’ gag, and in 2024, they went all out with Liben’s Mondstadt Tourism Revitalization Project. A short endeavor for the suave merchant that ended up going broke.

If you look at Liben from the ass side, I mean, the back, you’ll see some interesting trinkets. The blue crystals Bee tells us about from Honkai, a Shrek-looking mask (according to Tif), and some potatoes that appear to be looking right back at you.

Did you know Feens makes Genshin character tater tots? She does, and they are awesome! Want to see more tots? Be sure to let her know in our Discord, Shades of Teyvat.

Genshin Impact's Paimon and a kamera

Here are some helpful links if you’re unfamiliar with the IRL references we mentioned during the episode. Feens told us about bald-cap fans at Pitbull concerts, the Tea Spill makeup YouTube channel, and her hatred of CATS the Musical. Tif gushed about Project Hail Mary.
