Tales of Teyvat, a Genshin Lore Podcast

Episode 135: The Champion Duelist, Clorinde

SEASON SEVEN

Our team provides travelers with visual and video aids every episode to help them better understand comparisons, learn more about topics, and follow what we’re discussing. While we strive to include links to official Genshin Impact resources, some may also be to third-party channels.

Below are some resources surrounding this episode about The Champion Duelist, Clorinde that may be helpful to understand the talking points and lore better:

Previous sketches of Clorinde before her release

Clorinde’s concept art was a bit different from her final design. Most notably, in color. The original greens and reds changed to the royal blue we see now.

Clorinde's hat and stressed shirt buttons

One part of her outfit that did not change was the hat, much to Bee’s disappointment. One, ahem, bigger difference was with her top. And it introduced us to the hardest working button in all of Teyvat.

Clorinde preparing for a duel

Clorinde’s teaser video shows just how much of a badass she is. And how feared she is as the defendant requesting a duel seemed to leave a little puddle of Primordial pee water after her entrance to the stage.

Feens' Wonderland Manekin

Feens doesn’t fool around when it comes to her Wonderland Manekin. Fashioned after her OC Nat, she even has her Manekin equipped with Clorinde’s signature sword.

Cassiodor and Osse

If you want to learn more about Remuria and our talking cat friend Cassiodor, check out Episode 91: Remuria and the Sea of Bygone Eras.

Side eye from Clorinde

In one of the first instances we see Clorinde in the story, we see her help Navia fight a mob of Gardameks. Their prickly relationship is evident even in their short conversation.

Wriothesley and Clorinde sealing the door to the Primordial Seawater

Tif gushed over the cutscene of Clorinde and Wriothesley stopping the Primordial Seawater from entering Meropide. Gushed. Like water. Thanks Cyno!

Tabletop Troupe dressed as their characters

The Tabletop Troupe is Teyvat’s version of Dungeons & Dragons. Throughout the story quest, we see our players grow further into their characters.

Clorinde's childhood birthday presents

What did you get for your third birthday? What about your fifth? Unless you were also raised by Petronilla, we’re gonna guess it wasn’t a sword and a Geovishap Hatchling.

Manifestation of the Devorator

Nothing ends a good campaign than an epic fight. And of course we got that with the Devorator. It’s crazy to think Furina thought this was all still just part of the story.

Genshin Impact's Paimon and a kamera

Here are some helpful links if you’re unfamiliar with the IRL references we mentioned during the episode. Amanda mentioned the DinoPiss Comic, Tif sang us some songs from the 1981 movie The Incredible Shrinking Woman, Tif also told us about her new IRL squirrel friend (watch out Timothee), Bee made us laugh with the mole women from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Tif compared the campaign to Theodan from The Lord of the Rings.
