Old Mondstadt, AKA Storm Terror's Lair, in Genshin Impact. The ruined remains of a tower are shrouded in fog and covered in moss. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Venti, a character from Genshin Impact, in his archon form with wide spread white wings playing a lyre. This his right is Dvalin the Dragon, a beautiful ice blue dragon that is listening to Venti's music. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

During the first quest, Venti tells us the story of Barbatos & Dvalin in a beautiful cutscene.

Dvalin the Dragon, from Genshin Impact, screaming at someone off screen. Dvalin is angry. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Dvalin is poisoned by two blood clots that we work to clear during our end battle. They are pinkish-purple thorns that appear at the top and bottom of his back.

Durin, a Dragon from Genshin Impact is shown with a red glowing eye and has a skeleton body with wings. Behind Durin there are flames. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Durin is the corrupt dragon that fights Dvalin and injures him long ago. Even though Dvalin’s evil arch begins with this fight, he is in fact victorious. He slayed Durin, whose remains are still visible on Dragonspine.

The Holy Lure der Himmel, a white lyre with gold accents and glowing green, is a musical instrument and holy artifact in Genshin Impact. It is shown in front of a statue of Barbatos, the Anemo Archon. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Holy Lyre der Himmel is Barbatos’ lyre that he plays to soothe Dvalin. We’re able to clarify the instrument and “fix” it during the quest so Venti can call Dvalin to us.

The name is German for “Holy Lyre of the Heavens”.

The book Breeze Amidst the Forest, from Genshin Impact. This book is brown with golden stars on in. Additionally, it has white text in a made up language. Behind the book is the greenery of Mondstadt. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Dvalin’s written history mostly comes from the two-volume book collection “Breeze Amidst the Forest”.

You can read the story on the Genshin Impact Wiki Page.

A screenshot of a TikTok. The TikTok screenshot shows a profile of Venti looking sad. This image is showcased on the website for Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast.

Feens mentions a TikTok during the episode – “where the north wind meets the sea” – and its interesting note about how anemo continues to save the Traveler during the game.
