SEASON FOUR
Every episode our team provides travelers with visual and video aids to help better understand comparisons, learn more about topics, and follow what we’re discussing. While we strive to include links to official Genshin Impact resources, some may also be to third-party channels.
Below are some resources surrounding this episode about The Genshin Impact Manga that may be helpful to understand the talking points and lore better:

The icon of the entire Genshin Impact Manga is SLUTTY VENTI! We need this outfit in-game, now! Experience Slutty Venti for yourself by reading the Manga for yourself on Genshin Global.

Ursa the Drake is the villainous dragon that is the thorn in the side of Mondstadt. It’s also the dragon summoned to attack, and ultimately kill, Diluc’s father, Crepus, on his 18th birthday. Happy birthday, you’re now an orphan!

Speaking of Diluc, look at this dumb owl mask he wears as the Dark Knight Hero. Who doesn’t know this is Diluc? As Bee said, he’s the only one with luxurious red hair in the nation. Did they not make the connection? Okay, Clark Kent, go change your outfit in the telephone booth.

Collei’s black magic manifests itself as a giant purple-black snake when she gets angry. This snake sets fire to the carriage carrying the Fatui diplomats and kills them. We also see the snake during the ritual when Cyno seals the magic inside her.

Collei finds a burned-up piece of paper in the ruins of the Black Fire Incident that has a unique drawing on it. While Feens initially believes it is the schematic of a staff, Bee offers up another possibility. Could it be the vile that was used to inject the dead god remains into Collei and countless other children? We don’t know definitively what it is or what it does, but if its Dottore related, we can bet it’s not good.

Crepus was never granted a Vision in his lifetime, so he used a delusion. It seems in the carriage that he planned to give it to Diluc, but Diluc received his own. Feens thinks maybe he planned on giving it to Kaeya since Diluc didn’t need it. Little does he know that both his sons will have a Vision by the night’s end.

Elzer had a rough six months. As we mentioned, the story in the Manga takes place about six months before the events in the game. Which means Elzer aged quickly from his time at the party to working at the Dawn Winery. Maybe he really was polishing Crepus’ delusion a little too much.

Could Scullion be Childe’s brother? Feens certainly thinks so. This noob waiter, fumbling around the party, could just be a vehicle to telling us some backstory – his coworker was spilling all the tea – or he could be one of the unnamed siblings of the harbinger. We know this: he’s not still in Mondstadt proper with the other 12 residents.

Barnabas was already a creepy dude, but then he got even creepier as this one-horned demon monster. Now imagine a whole race of creepy, pointy-ear dudes walking around Snezhnaya. Eek. Worse yet, a whole bunch of chimera or manticore like Al said. They’re more frightening than Azhdaha.

Dottore’s lackey from the beginning of the Manga – Krupp – shows back up as a mechanical version of himself. His soul is imbued into this mecha version by Dottore, along with his mustache. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen souls jammed into other beings. Gold is well known for doing this. And we know the Narzissenkreuz Ordo also liked to play metal matchmaker. But who did it first?

Before we get into full-on fashion mode, we talk about the absolute cuteness of Collei wearing the same outfit we see Amber wearing when she tells the story of playing hide and seek with her grandfather. This is also the outfit that Collei later mends and washes after fighting with Kaeya.

The Manga starts out with a dead kid. Would you expect anything less? We see this poor soul at the bottom of an underground arena called Haeresys. Could this Anthony be the same Anthony that went missing from Mondstadt after being recruited by the Fatui? Seems pretty likely.

Bee walks us through Vennessa’s ascension to Celestia and notes that the architecture is similar to what we see on the loading screen. The door is the same design, and the columns are similar. This would mean that we enter through Celestia to get to Teyvat. Fitting.
