SEASON FIVE
Our team provides travelers with visual and video aids every episode to help them better understand comparisons, learn more about topics, and follow what we’re discussing. While we strive to include links to official Genshin Impact resources, some may also be to third-party channels.
Below are some resources surrounding this episode about Khaenri’ah and the Abyss that may be helpful to understanding the talking points and lore better:

Welcome Emerald! Our guest for this episode and current “lore-lady” of The Resonance: A Genshin Impact Podcast.

As we jump back to these two topics, we want to remind you that we have episodes on both topics from previous seasons. If you’re not familiar, they may help you get up-to-speed before jumping into this special episode.

Since we revisit the different realms of Teyvat, we wanted to bring back the Seven Layer Dip analogy. Our three realms are comprised of the Abyss Realm (not to be confused with the Abyss Order), the Human Realm, and the Light Realm.

We weave the lore of the story to deduce that Dainsleif’s brother, Vedrfolnir, is the dark crystal shown in the first Caribert Archon Quest. You can learn more about this crystal (and why we call it The Dark Crystal) in our Caribert episode from season three.

Another episode that could help answer some questions about the lore around Kaeya and his family is our season one episode centered on the Mondstadt heartthrob.

We talk about the area of Sumeru where Anfortas and some of the Khaenri’ahns emerged from the underground. This area is called the Ruins of Dahri and is slightly southeast of Caravan Ribat, just before the forest turns into the desert. You can traverse down a giant tree to reach the ruins.

An important book we talk about is ‘Perinheri,’ also known as ‘Hleobranto Innamorato.’ This book gives us some insight into the past dynasties of Khaenri’ah. You can find the book over in the Court of Fontaine at Hubel’s newsstand.

Much to Tif’s dismay, we compared burst animations of Honkai’s Acheron and Arlecchino. Could this be another tie-in between the two games?

Here are some helpful links if you’re unfamiliar with the pop culture references we mentioned during the episode.
Emerald compared her theories to the Charlie Day pinboard from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Feens brings up Renesmee, the half-vampire child from the Twilight series when talking about the potential slowed aging of Kaeya.
