SEASON FIVE
Our team provides travelers with visual and video aids every episode to help them better understand comparisons, learn more about topics, and follow what we’re discussing. While we strive to include links to official Genshin Impact resources, some may also be to third-party channels.
Below are some resources surrounding this episode about Rhinedottir, AKA Gold, that may be helpful to understand the talking points and lore better:

When we first come to know of Rhinedottir (Gold), we learn that she is a part of the Hexenzirkel – a group of very powerful witches. This centuries-old organization was founded by Klee’s mother, Alice, and is a focus of the Imaginarium Theater.

It’s no secret – at least to us – that Albedo is a test-tube baby. During his epic “The Chalk Prince and the Dragon” event, he tells us that he is a synthetic human created by Gold.

Bee tells us about the Wings of Fate’s Course Intertwined glider and the story of how King Irmin took our sibling to the depths of Khaenri’ah to be a vessel of unlimited Abyssal power. It is also said that at this point, they became the key to the world’s near-annihilation.

From the book collection Breeze Amidst the Forest, we learn that when the Eclipse Dynasty fell, Gold became corrupted by greed and ambition. This is when she created her army of monsters.

Among these monsters were the Rifthounds. These evil puppies were created by Gold, but all they want to do now is obey their vagina wolf in Tsurumi Island (aka Golden Wolflord) and take over the world.

We reference a few of our past episodes that tie into this, including Pari Land, Caribert, Khaenri’ah, Shadows Amidst Snowstorms, Dragonspine, Signora, and Simulanka. Check out our archive of episodes for even more.

If you haven’t finished the final Natlan AQ, proceed with caution: We discuss the recent story about Capitano and his heart full of souls. If you’ve finished the archon quest, check out the animated short Memories of This Life.

The other group that Gold belongs to is the Five Sinners. We chat about the different members of this faction and what we know of them, including Surtalogi. Along with being Skirk’s master, they are also the owner of the cute, cuddly pet – the All-Devouring Narwhal.

Another bedtime story that Feens and Bee are reading is The Little Witch and the Undying Fire, a book found in the Imaginarium Theater. It is a story about a young witch written by the Hexenzirkel witches. Gold’s chapter talks about killing demon kings, and she gets stronger and stronger the more she kills. Perhaps an autobiography?

During the Windblume event, we are taken high up in the sky over Mondstadt to a beautiful tea party. This is where the Hexenzirkel meets, and we learn about all of these infamous ladies.

Feens tells us about the Festering Desire sword’s lore. Albedo said that the sword would steal the energy from its wielder, except for the Traveler. The description by Gold makes it sound like she is inviting someone to leave her body and join the world. We know how she likes doing a Freaky Friday moment.

Here are some helpful links if you’re unfamiliar with the pop culture references we mentioned during the episode. Tif talks about Brave New World, the dystopian novel by Aldous Huxley, and she also mentions the pigtail hammer throw from Matilda.
