SEASON SIX
Our team provides travelers with visual and video aids every episode to help them better understand comparisons, learn more about topics, and follow what we’re discussing. While we strive to include links to official Genshin Impact resources, some may also be to third-party channels.
Below are some resources surrounding this episode about Gaming that may be helpful to understand the talking points and lore better:

Gaming is a chatty, friendly, and reliable guard from the Secure Transport Agency and a skilled Wushou dancer in his own troupe – the Mighty Mythical Beasts. He treats everyone he comes across with endearing kindness and is always sharing his favorite eats – Dim Sum.

Gaming has lots of family in Chenyu Vale, and with big families comes big drama. We see him try to avoid the family busy-bodies during our first trip to Yilong Wharf with him and learn of his estranged relationship with his dad, Yip Tak.

The suanni mask that Gaming uses in his dance troupe was made by hand by his deceased mother. Which is probably the only reason Yip Tak allowed him to keep it after forbidding his son from dancing.

Bluey is the only other suanni we meet in the game. Considerably larger than Man Chai, this majestic mythological beast is half dragon, half lion-like all suanni, but with a beautiful blue color. Even after completing the Fujin quest, you can find Bluey, aka Lingyuan, on the cliffs of Mt Lingmeng.

Man Chai is the adorable red suanni sidekick that fights alongside Gaming. The inseparable pair met after Gaming went looking for the Suanni based on stories he heard. While not the large, fierce beast he expected, Man Chai showed his spicy side after some unwelcome head pats.

Some players choose weapons based on combat stats, others choose them on aesthetics. And no weapon matches Gaming more than an R5 Debate Club! It seemingly looks made for him. And bonus, it works well with him too!

Gaming isn’t the only member of the Sword and Strongbox Secure Transport Agency and Mighty Mythical Beasts that is constantly training to improve their skills. Swing by Yilong Wharf and chat with Dip Yeuk, a tired NPC taking a well-deserved break.

Wushou Dance is inspired by the traditional Chinese Lion dance often performed during festivals like Chinese New Year to bring good luck, which is exactly why Gaming’s introduction took place during Lantern Rite, Genshin’s Lunar New Year celebration.

At the end of Lantern Rite, we get to see Gaming and the Mighty Mythical Beasts perform at the final celebration in front of all of Liyue, and most importantly, Gaming’s dad. The awe and pride oozed from Yip Tak in the audience.

If you go back to our Amber episode, you’ll remember us theorizing that there could be a family connection between Gaming and Amber. Outside of the obvious cosmetic similarities between the two, we wondered if Amber’s grandfather’s disappearance to Liyue was a second-family-type deal.

Feens tells us the rumor that Gaming has an eyebrow piercing. After much studying, she thinks she found where the piercing is visible. What do you think? Is it a piercing or a scar?

Here are some helpful links if you’re unfamiliar with the pop culture references we mentioned during the episode. While talking about rap, poetry and slam poetry, Feens suggested taking a listen to Button Poetry.
