Episode 119: Sigewinne

We mention two Melusines that are especially unique. Manaia, who is currently in Natlan looking for some refreshing water to bring back to Neuvillette, and Canotila, a witch Melusine who hangs out in a cave in Merusea Village.

We mentioned Sigewinne’s Character Teaser video and how she appears to be oblivious to what’s going on around her. She tells Neuvillette the food is delicious, yet the inmates are complaining behind her about the meals.

When Sigewinne sees an inmate overworking themselves, she makes a “Nutritious Meal” to be delivered to them the next day at the Coupon Cafeteria. These meals with the strange meat are so different that they sparked an urban legend to pop up around the prison.

In the original Fontaine trailer, we see Sigewinne urging Wriothesley to drink one of her “Nutritious Shakes,” but he quietly refuses. The blank look on his face at the time made Feens think that the Duke might be blind (he’s not).

Does Sigewinne have wings, or is it just a part of her dress? Let us know what you think. We couldn’t agree one way or the other.

Throughout Sigewinne’s Story Quest, we see a few cutscenes about how she came to have human features. It first starts with a fairytale-sounding story, but then the less flowery truth comes out. In the end, we get to see that Sigewinne was reunited with her little friend 50 years after she saved her.

Sigewinne’s Character Demo video has some funny bits, including the interactions of the three ladies she’s making a pitch to and the euphoric guys after being treated by our cute nurse.

Hot Rawat gets all the ladies and all the collaborations. But who else is on the Court of Fontaine hot list? Bee nominated Caron, the shopkeeper at Lepaute Horlogerie. Any other NPCs you’d add to the list?

Instead of a traditional doctor’s bag, Sigewinne commissioned the Fontaine Research Institute to custom-make her the heart-shaped bag she carries on her hip. The Melusine-Specialized Portable Integrated Medical Apparatus followed all her requirements, including that it’s super cute.

Sigewinne works a lot. Her infirmary is open 24/7, and she genuinely wants to be there for all her patients. Since she doesn’t get out too much, her Melusine friend Ottnit uses her days off to visit Meropide for a shake and some stories.

Melusines love cute stickers and giving them to people they think are cute. So it’s no surprise they’re always sticking them on Wriothesley.
