Episode 126: Haravatat Professor Faruzan

SEASON SEVEN

Our team provides travelers with visual and video aids every episode to help them better understand comparisons, learn more about topics, and follow what we’re discussing. While we strive to include links to official Genshin Impact resources, some may also be to third-party channels.

Below are some resources surrounding this episode about Haravatat Professor Faruzan that may be helpful to understand the talking points and lore better:

Professor Faruzan, erm, I mean, Madam Faruzan has quite a reputation at the Sumeru Akademiya. And rightfully so. Her research helped shape the Kshahrewar curriculum, even with her being Haravatat. Also, she’s a bit ornery.

Her outfit draws heavily on Persian and Central Asian scholarly fashion – especially garments worn by mathematicians, engineers, and philosophers. Which makes sense with the geometric shapes and the ruler-looking bracelet. As Feens also pointed out, her dress also looks like a Tiffany Lamp.

Bee reminded us of the different Darshans of the Sumeru Akademiya, including the one that Faruzan belongs to (Haravatat) and the one that wants to poach her (Kshahrewar).

A Darshan conversation is never complete until we mention Tighnari’s mentor and Amurta Sage, Naphis. Those glasses and that haircut make him look more old-fashioned than the 125-year-old Faruzan.

Faruzan’s family and friends are long gone, but she was ‘adopted’ by Feens’ favorite little family of Tighnari, Cyno, and Collei. As outsiders (or outcasts) of the Akademiya, it’s no wonder Faruzan gravitated to this found family.

If you’d like to take Bee’s reading recommendation, head over to the Yae Publishing House and pick up the full series of ‘Onibudou.’

We talked about our cute little Karkata and his origin story. You can learn more about him in our Forest Watcher Tighnari episode from Season Five.

While Faruzan was missing, her version of Karkata – known as Tamimi – continued to look for her. And with her, Tamimi carried a letter from Faruzan’s mom. In a heartfelt moment, we hear her mother read the letter aloud.

Kirara is delivering Anthrax! Or at least that’s what the meme is saying. We have to wonder if maybe she’s been the one leaving it for us? We’re prepared though – we’ve read the pamphlet.

DID YOU KNOW THERE ARE WOLVES IN WOLVENDOM!? I mean we know they were there at some point, but Tif and Bee had no idea they were in the game now. Meanwhile, Feens has weekly hangs with the wolves.
