Episode 121: Paralogism

We all know that trailers are meant to get you excited and interested in the story ahead, and the one for Paralogism sure did just that! Who else thought we were about to see the downfall of the Kreideprinz?

Beatrice was SHOOK. She did not expect to see anyone burying a body. Her expression was so memorable that it’s now a sticker on our Shades of Teyvat Discord server. 

We really would not be surprised if you looked up the word misophonia and found a video of Dahlia eating popcorn. His idle brings being aggravated or triggered by repetitive sounds to a whole new level. For the love of all the archons, stop chewing so loud!

Of all the things you would expect to see in Fontaine, a head in the sand probably wasn’t on your list. But we got just that thanks to Henri. Over on the beach north of Poisson, you’ll come across a man buried in sand next to a roast chicken and two crabs looking to have some French food for dinner.

What’s worse, getting drunk-dialed by your ex or butt-dialed by a drunk archon? Calling the wrong number aside, Venti’s Dodocommunication Device has definitely come in handy. Hopefully it only looks like one of Klee’s bombs and doesn’t have any special explosive features.

Getting to see our favorite puppy-dog-dragon was a fun treat in this quest. Mini-Durin stole everyone’s heart back in the Summertide Scales & Tales summer event. Little did we know that his heart would play a big part in the story.

Durin’s heart juice comes in handy when we get to see Albedo create life with his alchemy. Mother would be so proud… we think. A human boy with dragon wings – sounds like someone might become mom’s favorite.

We’ve been talking about the Heart of Naberius since Season One. Wondering what happened to it and why Gold ran away. And in one sentence, Albedo dropped the lore bomb. Gold devoured it! Luckily, we didn’t have to wait too long to learn more in the chapter interlude, “The Gods’ Limits.”

At the conclusion of the quest, Venti gives us a gift from the Hexenzirkel – a gift that will reveal itself when the time is right. We later find out that it is the Wonderland Cosmosphere that unlocks Miliastra Wonderland for us.

Did you remember Phonia? She works on the investigative team with Albedo and worked with us on the invasive fish side quest. We won’t be surprised if we find out that she’s a bar buddy of Venti’s since she tells us that the type of wine she likes doesn’t matter, as long as it gets her drunk.
